Mary Alex and Andrew met in NYC while each of them was out with a group of friends for the evening. Andrew said they were both the shy ones in the group who hung back a bit, and that is how they started talking and eventually dating. When they shared that they wanted some Assateague island engagement photos, I was thrilled! Assateague was the perfect choice because of the special meaning and significance the park held for them both. Each of them had many memories of visiting and camping within the grounds and spending time with their families there. We met at sunrise and had the beach all to ourselves. There was a mist on the water which gave such a soft and romantic look to the final images. We hoped and prayed we would get to see some of the wild ponies during their engagement session, and right at the end (as we were driving out actually) we DID. Talk about bucket list moment!
They will be tying the knot this Fall in Maryland at Mary Alex’s family home and I cannot wait to document it all!
