I’m loving all these fun and romantic engagement sessions on the blog lately! Spring seems to have finally sprung (at least the flowers have!) and Downtown Annapolis is absolutely gorgeous this time of year. We found some flowering trees in front of the State House with white and blush blooms so I was a happy camper!
Chelsea and Zackery are such a fun and laid back couple! They met in the 5th grade in Berlin, MD where they live with their 3 dogs! Berlin is also where their wedding will be held this fall. Photographing them was a breeze because it was clear how much fun they have together. I enjoyed getting to know them and hear all about their wedding plans as we explored Annapolis. And, OF COURSE we had to stop by the Fleet Street mural for some engagement session fun! That bike painting (by artist Mary Bowen) is one of my favorites!
They decided to make their trip to Annapolis a mini vacation by staying at the Governor Calvert house. I absolutely love the mural and charm of Gov. Calvert house! The reception space has beautiful bistro lights and lamp posts so we decided to grab some shots inside as we were there to change outfits.
It was a chilly day with a pretty icy breeze, but Chelsea and Zack didn’t complain! Is it terrible to admit that even though it was FREEZING, that breeze made for some beautiful movement in Chelsea’s dress and I loved that?
It threatened to rain all day but we only got some showers right toward the end of their session, so it was perfect timing.
Chelsea and Zackery, you two were loads of fun! Thanks so much for roughing it in the cold and for the coffee! 😉 I know your wedding later this year is going to be one for the books! I cannot wait.
