We’re starting 2017 out with a bang by being published (and the cover story feature) in Florists’ Review Magazine this month! It’s a total honor and honestly a little surreal to be published in print in this 11-page spread. So how did this all happen? The credit goes to my friend Kelly! When Kelly from Petals by the Shore contacted me and said she and Rose gold Events had a vision for this series and concept, I had no idea where it would take us.

Kelly’s original dream was to feature “A Year of Local Flowers” by highlighting the locally grown flowers movement here in Maryland. Her passion and knowledge on the topic is just incredible. I was more than happy to join her to help make this idea come to fruition. Each of the shoots were held at Plant Masters’ Flower Farm and every season featured a different look, of course showcasing only locally grown flowers for each bouquet.

The results were amazing.

“(Model) Rosalind’s bountiful bouquet of sweet peas, fox gloves, peonies and lilacs looks poignant and beautiful as she is captured standing in front of Plant Masters’ mock-orange border. “

I was invited into this project to photograph the Spring season portion with the help of my amazing assistant Rebekah Coxe. The concept of this shoot was to start out showing our young bride gathering and arranging flowers for her bouquet on the Plant Masters’ farm. I had never seen peonies uncut before so this was truly an amazing process to watch. We were able to watch the process of these flowers going from plants in he ground to a stunning bouquet. The results were dreamy!

After nearly 8 months of keeping this gorgeous shoot under wraps, we are finally able to share the images!!
