Setting Your Business Foundations

To kick off our business reboot series, we’re starting with the three phases of laying the foundation. You need to asses your business, reflect on the last three months, then clear out the clutter.

1. Asses your business

There is so much power in pausing. Your business, your strategies, and the day-to-day can be so overwhelming, so when you can take a pause in business to assess, it gives you so much power.

2. Reflect on the details

After you’ve paused and assessed, consider reflecting on the last three months. Here are a few questions you can ask yourself to prompt reflection:

  • What has worked?
  • What could have gone better?
  • What has your schedule looked like?
  • If you had to relive the last 3 months, what would you change?

3. Clear out the clutter

Just like you spring clean your house, consider clearing out the mental, digital, and physical cobwebs in your business. This could include your physical workspace, your bags, your computer desktop, and more.

Your Business Reboot Homework

If you’re ready to feel lighter moving forward, I want you to pick one thing that is not supporting you or your goals and remove it from your life. Whether it’s personal or in your business, write it down, include why it’s not getting invited into the next three months, then leave it behind.

Additionally, look to the future and what you want. Write a sentence about where you’d like to be this time next year.
