3 Ways to Unlock Business Growth
In episode 81 of the podcast, I highlighted three questions to ask yourself when you want to grow your business without working more hours. Now, I want to highlight a few tangible next steps!
Across a variety of successful entrepreneurs and business owners, you’ll find themes that have led to their success. In the businesses that I look up to, I’ve found three things that are consistent in leading them to success by working smarter, not harder.

Build Automations in Your Business
The first is removing bottlenecks in business by building automations! Automations are great to incorporate into your customer journey, your booking process, and your marketing activities. A few of my favorite automations include:
- Email marketing automations with a welcome sequence for new subscribers.
- Text messages from Zapier when I make a sale.
- Honeybook for inquiries, smart files, and workflows.
- Notion for project management, content creation, and task tracking.
Buy Back Your Time
The next way to work smarter and not harder is to buy back your time, because you honestly don’t need to be the one to do everything in your business. Outsourcing your work to a team member or contractor will expand your business beyond your ability and hours. It helps your business create more impact without having to do the work yourself.
You can get started with outsourcing on Fiverr or by connecting with your community! In episode 47, I actually walk through the steps to take for hiring your first VA, but the idea of bbuying back your time can be further explored in Dan Martell’s book, Buy Back Your Time.
A few things I outsource myself include my podcast production, my video editing for Youtube, and inbox management.
Create Evergreen, Long-form Content
The third way to work smarter in your business is through creating evergreen, long-form content that will serve you for the long-term. Creating evergreen content allows your efforts to serve you for years to come, not just temporarily. Through crafting evergreen content that is searchable and serves your ideal audience, you are creating a marketing funnel that will potentially continue to serve you year after year.
