3 Proven Strategies for Sustainable Business Growth
If you’re looking for ways to achieve business growth without adding more hours to your workweek, you’re in the right place. In episode 81 of the podcast, I shared three essential strategies that successful entrepreneurs use to scale their businesses by working smarter, not harder.
Across a variety of successful entrepreneurs and business owners, you’ll find themes that have led to their success. In the businesses that I look up to, I’ve found three things that are consistent in leading them to success by working smarter, not harder.
Now, let’s dive into how you can implement these strategies to unlock sustainable growth in your own business.

Today’s episode is brought to you by my PitchPower email template pack, you’ll find 10 email pitches to get you the visibility and collaborations you want in your biz. This email template pack includes emails for reaching out cold and a template for turning free product or affiliate collaboration offers into paid deals.
Build Automations to Streamline Your Business
One of the fastest ways to accelerate business growth is by eliminating bottlenecks through automation. Automating repetitive tasks not only saves time but also reduces human error and creates a more consistent customer experience.
Here are a few high-impact automations to consider:
- Email marketing automations with a welcome sequence for new subscribers.
- Sales notifications with text messages from Zapier when I make a sale.
- Client management workflows with Honeybook for inquiries, smart files, and workflows.
- Project management with Notion for content creation and task tracking.
By automating these processes, you free up your time to focus on growth-oriented activities, like strategic planning and client acquisition.
Buy Back Your Time with Outsourcing
Another powerful growth strategy is outsourcing, allowing you to expand your business’s capacity without overextending yourself. You don’t need to handle every task—by delegating, you create more space for high-level business growth activities.
Start by identifying repetitive or time-consuming tasks you can outsource, such as:
- Podcast production – Hand off editing, show notes, and publishing to a podcast production team.
- Video editing – Save hours by hiring a freelancer to edit and optimize your YouTube content.
- Inbox management – Hire a virtual assistant (VA) to organize and respond to emails, keeping you focused on income-generating tasks.
You can get started with outsourcing on Fiverr or by connecting with your community! In episode 47, I actually walk through the steps to take for hiring your first VA, but the idea of buying back your time can be further explored in Dan Martell’s book, Buy Back Your Time.
Create Evergreen, Long-form Content
To drive business growth over the long term, invest in evergreen content that attracts and nurtures leads for months—or even years—after it’s published. Evergreen content serves as a consistent traffic source, boosting your visibility and authority without requiring ongoing effort.
Here’s how to get started:
- Podcast episodes – Craft episodes that tackle timeless business topics, making them valuable regardless of when listeners discover them.
- Blog posts and guides – Create detailed, keyword-rich blog posts (like this one!) optimized for SEO to attract organic traffic.
- YouTube videos – Share tutorials, how-tos, or industry insights that remain relevant over time.
